Class Descriptions

85 minute All Levl Vinyasa Yoga

Enjoy the extra fifteen minutes in this flow class to really focus on transitions, breath, and synchronized movement.

Bootcamp

Challenge yourself with this workout which mixes traditional calisthenic and bodyweight exercises with interval training and strength training.

Functional Strength & Mobility

Improve your mobility and connect it directly to increased strength and fitness.

Hatha Yin Yoga

Hatha classes are designed for mixed-level participants and provide a balanced combination of poses with attention to basic alignment and therapeutic principles. Incorporating Yin yoga, the poses are held for a longer period of time to target the connective tissues and encourage a more meditative state.

Hiit Fit

This class is a rigorous interval training sequence with high-intensity exercises. It builds cardiovascular fitness while improving muscular strength and endurance.

I'm with the Band–Total Body Tone

Join us online with your own band or towel for this low impact, full-body conditioning class. 

It's the Weekend! Bootcamp

Finish out the week and sail into your weekend with this high intensity class designed to promote strength, cardiovascular endurance, lean muscle growth.

Kickboxing

Burn calories and blow off stress with high energy kickboxing. You will feel like a champion as you channel your inner prize fighting spirit.

Mashup®

Maximize your results in less time with three classes in one! Experience a short, effective workout with Variable‐Intensity‐Interval‐Training (VIIT) This research based program features Mind⁄Body, Agility & Strength, and High‐Intensity Interval exercises for three fitness levels for a fun and challenging workout!

Mind/Body Mix

Yoga, Pilates, and movement are integrated into one class to help you feel centered, strong, and agile.

MixxedFit®

This “people-inspired” dance phenomenon weaves together a combination of explosive dancing and boot camp training techniques.

Power Barre

Sculpt and strengthen your body with this workout inspired by elements of ballet. No dance experience needed! Suggested equipment: a mat, a chair, a couple of 2-3 lb weight.

Strictly Strength

This high-energy strength training class is designed to improve muscle strength and anaerobic performance. Work your muscles and challenge your mind to get over the “midday slump” and have you feeling energized throughout the rest of your day.

Vinyasa, is a breath-initiated practice that connects one posture to the next in a flowing manner. Discover the challenge and joy that exists in each and every moment.

Cultivate a relaxed state of mind, a strengthened body and a deep connection with your inner being.

Yoga Basics

Develop safe alignment and a clear understanding of foundational poses in this slightly slower-paced and supportive environment.

Yoga Flow & Restore

Using elements of both Vinyasa and Restorative yoga, you will flow and connect breath with movement to create heat in your body, and then you will relax into deep, therapeutic stretches.

Create an IMLeagues Account

  1. First time participants should log into:
    1. IMLeagues OR
    2. IMLeagues through Facebook and click "Log In," then click "Log in with Facebook" if you have a Facebook account with your school email attached . This will automatically create an account, fill in your information, and connect you to the school (steps 2-4).
  2. Enter your information, use your school email if applicable (@utdallas.edu), and submit.
  3. You will be sent an activation email. Click the link in the email to login and activate your IMLeagues account.
  4. You should be automatically joined to UT Dallas - if not, you can search schools by clicking the "Schools" link.

Register for a GroupX Class

  1. Log into your IMLeagues account.
  2. From the "The University of Texas at Dallas" homepage, click the “Group Exercise Classes” button in the middle of the page underneath the scrolling pictures.
  3. Click “Calendar” to show the current available classes by specific date or week.
  4. Choose the class you wish to join and click “Sign Up.”
  5. Agree to the Informed Consent Waiver for Exercising.
  6. Read the specific participant instructions and choose if you’d like to receive a reminder about your chosen class, then click “Sign Up.”
  7. The next screen will provide details for the class, such as date, time, location, and description. You should also receive a confirmation email from [email protected] that provides additional instructions.
  8. Come prepared to HAVE FUN!
